Grass Stitch Coin Purse Tutorial

How to make a crochet grass stitch coin purse







Materials: crochet acrylic yarn medium size, 5mm crochet hook, 8.8cm metallic frame, tread and needle. 

Start with chain 17.

Round 1: 1sc into the 2nd chain from hook, 1sc in each chain across until 1 chain remains, 2sc into the last stitch. Keep working to the other side. 1sc in each stitch across until 1 stitch remains, 2sc into the last stitch.

Round 2: 1sc in each stitch across until 2 stitches remains, 2sc to the next stitch, 2sc to the last stitch. Keep working to the other side, 1sc in each stitch across until 2 stitches remains, 2sc to the next stitch, 2sc to the last.
*Place a stitch marker to the last stitch.

Round 3: Start working the grass stitch. Place your hook into the loop, yarn over from the frond and from the back yarn, insert the back yarn underneath the frond and pull it through into the loop, yarn over and complete 1 single crochet. Repeat this pattern around.
*Don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 4 -Round 11: repeat round 3.
*In the end of round 11 slip stitch to the 1st stitch, cut the yarn and finish your work.

*Sew the frame to your last single crochet round.

*You can leave you purse like this or you can cut all the tales. If you cut them, then take a comp and comp your purse.
