Crochet Santa Candle Cover

How to crochet a Santa candle cover for your Christmas candles

 

 

  Materials: Macrame cord red and black color, acrylic crochet yarn medium size white color,  3 and  3,5mm hooks.

With red color and 3mm crochet hook, make a magic ring with  6 single crochet.
*place a stitch marker into your last stitch

Round 1: 2sc in each stitch around. Don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 2: 1sc to the 1st stitch, 2sc to the 2nd. Repeat around and don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 3: 1sc in each of next 2 stitches, 2sc to the next. Repeat around and don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 4: 1sc in each of next 3 stitches, 2sc to the next. Repeat around and don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 5: 1sc in each of next 4 stitches, 2sc to the next. Repeat around and don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.
* change to 3,5mm crochet hook and to white color.

Round 6: Grass stitch. Place your hook into the loop, yarn over from the frond and from the back yarn, insert the back yarn underneath the frond and pull it through into the loop, yarn over and complete 1 single crochet. Repeat this pattern around.
*Don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Round 7: repeat round 6.
*change to 3mm crochet hook and to red color.

Round 8: 1sc in each stitch around. 
*place a stitch market to your last stitch.

Rounds 9-12: repeat round 8.
 * in the end of round 12 change to black color  and place a stitch marker to the last stitch.

Round 13: 1sc in each stitch around.  Don't forget to move your marker into the last stitch.

Rounds 14 and 15: repeat round 13.
 * in the end of round 15 change to red color.
 
Rounds 16-19: repeat round 8.
 *in the end of round 19 change to white color.

Round 20: 1sc in each stitch around.
*in the end cut the yarn and finish your work.
 *you can sew a button on black part of cover or not.
