Butterfly Stitch

How to crochet the butterfly stitch!!






Materials: crochet acrylic yarn, 5mm crochet hook.

This pattern is worked over a multiple of 6 stitches plus 2.
For this sample start with chain 26

Row 1: 1dc into the 4th, 1dc in each chain across.

Row 2: chain 3, turn, (the turning chain counts as the 1st dc), 1dc into the 2nd, 1dc into the 3rd, *chain 6, skip 6, 1dc in each of next 6* repeat from * to * until 9 stitches remain. To finish the row: chain 6, skip 6, 1dc in each of last 3 stitches (the last one must be on top of turning chain)

Rows 3&4: repeat row 2

Row 5: chain 3, turn, (the turning chain counts as the 1st dc), 1dc into the 2nd, 1dc into the 3rd, *chain 3, insert the hook into the space 3 rows below and make 1sc, chian 3, 1dc in each of next 6 stitches*, repeat from * to * until 3 stitches remain. To finish the row, 1dc in each of last 3 stitches (the last one must be on top of turning chain)

Repeat rows 2-5 until you have the length you want.

Next row: chain 3, turn, (the turning chain counts as the 1st dc), 1dc into the 2nd, 1dc into the 3rd, *chain 6, skip next chains, 1dc in each of next 6 stitches*, repeat from * to * until 3 stitches remain. To finish the row, 1dc in each of last 3 stitches (the last one must be on top of turning chain)

Lat row:chain 3, turn, (the turning chain counts as the 1st dc), 1dc into the 2nd, 1dc in each stitche and chain across.
